NYC Newcastle Knights coach Todd Lowrie has named his 23-man squad for Friday's clash with the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium.

Brodie Jones is set to make his first start of the season in the back row, after playing off the bench in the last two weeks.

Brendan Elliot has been named to start in the centres, with Bryce Donovan moving back to the extended bench.

Jaelen Feeney has also been named in the halves, with Will Pearsall moving to the number 14 jersey.
