nib Newcastle Knight Dane Gagai scored two tries in Queensland's two-point Origin win at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night.
The NSW Blues led 16-6 at half time, but a double from Gagai in the second half helped the Maroons seal the game two 18-16 victory.
"It is still surreal for me that I can represent this jersey," an emotional Gagai told Channel Nine after the match.
"I remember when I was a kid in Mackay watching it at my uncles, and to now be apart of it, I still have to pinch myself."
Following the win, Gagai returns to the Club to be assessed as the Knights prepare for Sunday's match against the St George Illawarra Dragons at Jubilee Oval.
