Two lucky nib Newcastle Knights fans have had the opportunity of a lifetime when they traveled with the team in Round 13.
Knights Member Shane Harding purchased his Membership prior to October 31 last year and was automatically entered into a draw to win an all-expenses paid weekend away with the Knights.
“I didn’t even know the Members draw was on, just got a call out of the blue and was very lucky, I felt very privileged,” said Shane.
A red and blue supporter since he was about ten years old, Shane has been a Knights Member for the past seven years and was thrilled to win the trip away with his partner Alanna.
“It was amazing, everything has been incredible,” commented Shane.
“I can’t believe how lucky we’ve been to have the opportunity to travel with the team and watch the team as close as we did.
“So rare to get the opportunity to do something like this, once in a lifetime experience and we can’t thank the Knights enough.
“The guys have all been really nice and welcoming and were more than willing to have a chat to say g’day, it’s been great.”
Knights Membership Manager Samantha O’Hearn said it’s a money can’t buy experience.
“We appreciate all our Members at the nib Newcastle Knights and strive to reward them as often as possible,” said Samantha.
“They got the chance to fly down with the team, stay in the same hotel and have dinner with all the Knights.
“On game day they were able to watch all the action from behind the bench, be in the change rooms post game and even watch the press conference live.
“Shane only purchased one Membership this season so it just shows that anyone can win!”
