nib Newcastle Knights winger Ken Sio admits Round 13’s loss against the Melbourne Storm was a lesson learnt from one of the best sides in the competition.

Despite the 28-point defeat, Sio was one of two try scorers for the Knights who dived over in the 28th minute.

“I was lucky enough to score one and stay inside the field but (Dane) Gagai did all the work and I just finished it off for him,” explained Sio.

Looking forward to this Friday, the 26-year-old knows it will be a massive challenge against the Manly Sea Eagles.

“It is tough to get a win down there and it will be our task this Friday to play a full game of 80 minutes,” commented Sio.

“It is not just a tough ground but the crowd as well.

“Once they get behind the team, the team gets on a role and it will be hard to swing that momentum around.”

Sio expected to be up against Manly’s Jorge Taufua, but the Manly winger has been sidelined with an injury.

“I was watching the game and Taufua will be out unfortunately,” he said.

“Hopefully he recovers but I’m not sure who is up, so I’ll look at that soon and see who I will have.”

The Knights winger maintains there’s still several things they want to achieve as a team.

“Playing for the full 80 minutes is one of them and moving up the ladder as well but we’ll have to take it week by week and keep training hard as we do every week,” Sio stated.
