Competition - NRL Premiership Round. Round - Round 12. Teams - Newcastle Knights v Parramatta Eels. Date - 30th of May 2016. Venue - Hunter Stadium

Performing in front of a crowd of red and blue fans is an experience never to be forgotten according to the recent Newcastle ‘Show Your Talent’ performers.

Singing duo Quinn Carter and Brad Simon Hughes, who perform across Newcastle, the Central Coast and Sydney, got the amazing opportunity to sing in front of a nib Newcastle Knights home crowd at McDonald Jones Stadium on the weekend.

The teenagers were selected as part of the inaugural ‘Show Your Talent’ competition which is held at Knights home matches across the 2017 NRL season.

“It really went well, we enjoyed ourselves and it was just a lot of fun to play in front of the crowd,” Quinn said.

“It was such an amazing view from down on the field.

“You get to see everything the guys see playing on the field, it’s just a really good opportunity to have.”

Brad said they decided to enter the competition to get a bit more exposure.

“We found it was a good opportunity to find a bigger audience, to play at a bigger venue and we thought this would be the perfect fit,” explained Brad.

The Knights invite individual or group performers to register their interest for the competition.

All forms of talent are encouraged to register including but not limited to singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, acrobats, gymnasts, bands and any other performers who want to show their talent.

10 more lucky performers will be selected to showcase their talent at a Knights home game with three winning the chance to perform in a final at the Old Boys game in Round 26.

The overall winner receives a major prize worth $5,000!

Registrations for the Newcastle, Show Your Talent competition closes two weeks prior to each home game.

Quinn maintains it’s a great experience and would recommend the experience to any performer.

“Definitely have a shot at it, it’s a great thing to do,” she said.
