In a career that has spanned nine years, James McManus has done it all. Equal leading try scorer in the NRL in 2013, three NSW Origin appearances between 2009 and 2014, and four NSW Country starts between 2009 and 2015.

In that time he also played 166 games for the Knights, scoring 72 tries and likely saving just as many with his rock solid defence.

In Round 23 at Hunter Stadium, McManus is set to do one final lap of honour following his retirement.

"I'd like to thank all our Members and supporters over the last ten years," McManus said.

"I can't express how genuinely thankful I am for all the opportunities this Club and community has given me.

"I look forward to forging many more memories in my new role at the Club, and I look forward to getting the bagpipes going one more time against the Panthers."
