The Newcastle Knights were defeated 38-18 by the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Newcastle's No. 2 Sportsground on Sunday afternoon.
Knights halfback Will Pearsall was first to cross early in the match but it was followed up shortly after by a Bulldogs' try. Just two points seperated the sides at half time with the Bulldogs leading 14-12.
The opposition extended their hold on the game in the second half which eventuated in the 38-18 final score.
