Armoury Club Members typify what it means to be a Knight, their loyalty and passion for the cause is unquestionable.

They have behind-the-scenes access to Club events and unrivalled contact with the team, sitting down for a lunch at Knights HQ to rub shoulders with the players during the season.

It is something the players truly value as well, as they get to meet the most hard core of supporters and thank them for their contributions to the Club.

“It’s really important for us players to acknowledge that,” Sione Mata’utia said at the 2016 event.

“I was just talking to a few of the Members, and thanking them for their support. They’re a really important part of our Club moving forward.”

Kellie Davis has been an Armoury Club Member since the program’s inception in 2014, and was vocal about how important supporting the team is to her.

“I know this is a tough year for the players and supporters in general. But I want to stay true, and I want to support the boys through this tough year,” she enthused.

“The only way to do that is to be here and show that we’re behind you and behind what’s happening.”

The 2016 Armoury Club event was a success on all counts, with players dining with Members following a training session and then sitting down for some Knights-themed trivia.

The team that won was rewarded with an exclusive corporate box for a match later this season, and had Club legend Danny Buderus as well as Mickey Paea sitting at the table to help out with questions.

“At one of the tables I think they rigged the trivia,” Dane Gagai joked, who was sitting with a rival team.

“But it was good that they won a corporate box for a game and it was a good lunch that they put on for us here at Wests.”
