It’s a big match for the Knights this weekend, with the players desperate to put a line in the sand after Round 10.

They come up against the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Stadium, who will be equally motivated to make a statement.

“Last week simply wasn’t good enough,” young hooker Danny Levi said of the red and blues’ capitulation against the Sharks.

“But we’ve put that behind us and I know everyone’s ready to have a real crack this weekend.

“For the whole team, we can’t just show short glimpses of effort in the game, we’ve got to show it for the whole 80 minutes.”

Akuila Uate agrees with Levi’s sentiment, and highlighted the need for everyone in the team to stand up.

“We just need to do our individual jobs better as well as working as a team,” he explained.

“I know the Tigers playing at Campbelltown are going to be ready for us, so we have to be ready for them as well.”

The last time the Knights took on the Tigers at Campbelltown was in Round 23 of last year, when the Novocastrians came out 24-18 victors in a tight and nervy encounter.

“I didn’t play that time, but I’m sure the boys would have a bit of confidence about it,” Levi said.

“We believe that we can beat them, so we have to go out there and prove it.

“It’s basically a matter of whoever turns up best on the day, and I’m sure the boys are revved up for it.”
