Jack Stockwell pushes himself in a shuttle run.

Spirits are high among the Newcastle Knights' ahead of the side's Round 7 match against the Brisbane Broncos according to forward Jack Stockwell.

The side put finishing touches on preparation during Friday's final training run before the team travelled to Brisbane for Saturday's night's clash at Suncorp Stadium.

The season's first win against Wests Tigers has injected new found confidence and belief in the side.

"We just finished a really good session and it's really positive coming from all the boys," he said.

While the Brisbane Broncos have once again emerged as NRL front runners, the Knights are comfortable in their ability to orchestrate an upset this weekend.

"They are a good side and a top four side so we have to go up there with the attitude we are going to win," he said.

"That's how we have been training all week and that's what we plan to do.

"They have a good side and a lot of experience with the boys up front with Sam Thaiday and (Corey) Parker.

"We are just going to do what we have been each week and that's focusing on our game.

"Everything will fall into line if we do that.

"We always have to play each week like we have nothing to lose.

"They always play well up there and are a quality side, so we are going to have to bring our A game."

Stockwell is pleased to build personal momentum after returning to the NRL after a number of injury setbacks.

"It's good coming off some consistent footy," he said.

"I'm just happy to be in the team, whether it's starting or off the bench.

"I'm looking forward to playing up in Brisbane, I love playing at Suncorp, it's a good stadium."

The Newcastle Knights travelled with a squad of 19 to Brisbane on Friday following the side’s final training run at Knights HQ at Wests Mayfield. The Round 7 match against the Brisbane Broncos kicks off at 7.30pm at Suncorp Stadium.
