The Newcastle Knights have a number of forced changes ahead of the NSW Cup preliminary final against the Mounties at Leichhardt Oval at 3.10pm.

Nathan Ross was a late withdrawal due to a rib cartilage injury seeing Joe Tapine move into the centres while Pat and Chanel Mata'utia were unable to play due to knee injuries.

Meanwhile, George Ndaira starts at five-eight after Carlos Tuimavave returned to New Zealand for family reasons.
