Families will be entertained at a special ‘Gids Zone’, featuring a jumping castle, petting zoo, DJ, photo booth, giveaways and face painting at the Newcastle Knights’ final home game in the NRL Telstra Premiership this Saturday against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

The ‘Gids Zone’, a tribute to departing captain Kurt Gidley who will also play his 250th first grade match for the Knights, will feature a range of children’s entertainment.

There will be a special on field presentation to the Knights’ legend and other departing players approximately 30 minutes after the match. Fans will be invited onto the field and will be entertained by a live band, Coconut Trio, before the presentation commences.

‘Old Boys Day’ is an acknowledgement of past players and support staff who contributed to the success of the Knights. As part of the celebrations, they will do a lap of honour prior to kick off and form a guard of honour for the NRL team.

The day will also raise funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation, a not for profit organisation formed by Mark and Kirralee Hughes following the Knights back’s diagnosis with brain cancer. Fans are invited to buy beanies to raise funds for brain cancer research and support.

Gates open at 3pm, for NYC to kick off at 3.15pm before the NRL match at 5.30pm. Secure your TICKETS now!
