It has been announced the 2016 Auckland Nines Tournament will be staged on February Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February at Eden Park, Auckland.
The record breaking event will once again host all 16 NRL clubs with star players contractually guaranteed to play in a tournament which carries NZ$2.6 million in prize money.
“The Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines continues to attract some of the greatest names in rugby league, and the event lends great energy to the city,” Auckland Mayor Len Brown said.
Early bird fans will also be able to buy tickets from just $69 to attend the two day event.
People who want the first pick of the best seats at Eden Park are advised to join the waiting list before tickets go on-sale to the general public on August 20.
