Queensland defeated New South Wales 52-6 in the 2015 State of Origin decider at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night.

Newcastle Knights centre Dane Gagai scored the opening try of the match in his Origin debut.

The news wasn't so good for Beau Scott, who was reported for a dangerous throw in the 32nd minute. He will miss a game with an early plea.

In the curtain raiser, the Under 20s NSW side which included young Knight Luke Yates defeated QLD 32-16.
