Newcastle Knights halfback Tyrone Roberts is set to be out for at least the next month with an ankle injury.

Roberts was injured in a tackle early in Sunday’s match against the New Zealand Warriors and had scans on Monday afternoon when the team arrived back from Auckland.

The results confirmed a syndesmosis ankle injury, with a return date currently scheduled for between Round 16-18.

Roberts will remain in a moon boot this week before rehabilitation can be progressed next week.
