The Knights put in a strong showing at Mt Smart stadium considering the amount of players missing.

And when looking at the stats, it is a small wonder that they didn't come away from the tight encounter with more.

The men from the Hunter edged possession with 53 per cent, and blitzed the Warriors in completed sets with an impressive 89 per cent.

The Warriors only completed 69 per cent of their sets and came up with 12 errors to the Knights' six.

Despite this the few errors the Knights did make proved to be critical, as was evident in the final scoreline.
