Tyrone Roberts is the major injury concern following the Newcastle Knights' match against the New Zealand Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium on Sunday.

Roberts fell awkwardly in a tackle and despite trying to play on, was forced from the field before fives minutes of the match was played.

The halfback will have a scan on his ankle when the team arrives back from New Zealand on Monday, with the results likely to be be known on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kurt Gidley, Jeremy Smith and Kade Snowden are expected to resume training with the team this week and available for Saturday's match against the Canberra Raiders at Hunter Stadium.
