The Newcastle Knights welcomed the Nitro Circus crew to town ahead of Saturday’s action packed live show at Hunter Stadium.

With most the of the Knights squad on the Gold Coast this weekend ahead of Sunday's match against the Titans, the players were eager to experience some early extreme action on Wednesday.

The Knights were treated to a sneak peek of Saturday’s show that features world exclusive stunts and the usual Nitro Circus mayhem.

Knight Chris Houston had a chat to Central Coast BMX stunt rider, Andy Buckworth, who’s set to join the Nitro Circus line-up on Saturday.

“When we come to Newcastle it’s awesome, it’s as close to a home game as I’m ever going to get and people who you went to school with and have come across in your travels are going to be in the crowd,” Buckworth said.

“It’s a bit of pressure because you want to stick all your tricks, get good extension and land everything nice and smooth for the home crowd.”

Nitro Circus’ Tommy Passemante aka 'Street Bike Tommy' told Knight Jack Stockwell he was thrilled with Newcastle’s hospitality since arriving in town and was pleased to meet some local faces.

Tommy decribed the Nitro Circus mega ramp, which towers as high as a five story building and the death-defying stunts featured in the show.

“You will see the best in action sport doing exactly what they know how to do and it’s just action packed the whole time,” he said.
