The Newcastle Knights spent their first full day in Auckland attending a training session at Auckland Grammar School before attending the Auckland Nines launch at Aotea Square where they met and mingled with fans.

Knights Robbie Rochow and Tyrone Roberts reflected on the day that gave them the opportunity to meet fans as well as how the team is feeling on the eve of the Auckland Nines tournament.

"It's a good feel and we're excited to try a few things we're going to play on the weekend," Rochow said.

It was good to see everyone who came out to support the Knights. We saw a lot of fans.

We then did a coahng clinic and signed a lot of autographs. It was a good day for the fans to come to the centre of Auckland.

The launch saw all of the NRL teams converge on the centre of Auckland throughout the day and gave players from other teams the chance to mingle with each other.
