The Newcastle Knights has confirmed a final trial match as the team continues to build towards season 2015.
The Knights will play in Wauchope on February 14, against the Port Macquarie Sharks and also the Wauchope Blues at Lank Bain Complex.
“We are really pleased to be taking a trial match to Wauchope,” coach Rick Stone said.
“We will look to take a large squad and play against the Port Macquarie Sharks for one half and the Wauchope Blues the other.
“This will be a great opportunity for us to engage with the community in a regional area important to our Club while also promoting rugby league.”
Ticketing and further details around the Knights visit to Wauchope will be advised once the schedule is confirmed.
The Wauchope trial is the final match to be locked in for the Club’s pre-season. The Knights kick off in Auckland at the Nines tournament, before returning to play this trial in Wauchope on February 14 and then to Canberra on February 21.
