Newcastle Knights forward David Fa'alogo has been ruled out of Monday night's game against the North Queensland Cowboys at Hunter Stadium due to a training injury.
Coach Wayne Bennett had named an 18-man squad on Tuesday which covers for Fa'alogo's injury.
In better news, centre Joseph Leilua got clearance to play following a throat injury in Round 13.
Meanwhile captain Kurt Gidley, who was named at hooker, will shift into the halves, with Tyrone Roberts moving to the bench.
