The Newcastle Knights has named a 17-man team for Sunday’s Women in League match against the Penrith Panthers at Hunter Stadium.

Akuila Uate makes his return on the wing after recovering from a knee injury, Joey Leilua resumes in the centres after missing the City Origin clash however Jeremy Smith remains on the sideline due to a knee injury.

Adam Cuthbertson will play at lock with David Fa’alogo and Kade Snowden starting in the front row.

Korbin Sims has been named on the bench however he will attend the NRL Judiciary on Wednesday night to challenge the grading of a careless high tackle charge.

NSW Cup captain Matt Hilder has been added to the bench.

The Knights will wear the pink Women in League jersey for the Mother’s Day clash at Hunter Stadium.
