The Newcastle Knights has named a strong 22-man squad for Saturday night’s trial match against the Canberra Raiders at Tamworth’s Scully Park.


Darius Boyd, James McManus and Kade Snowden are set to play their first game of the pre-season while Michal Dobson has been named at five-eighth after Jarrod Mullen suffered a hamstring injury at the Auckland Nines on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Club is still waiting for Mullen's scan results and will issue an update when available. Additionally Kurt Gidley (foot), Matt Minto (hamstring), Chanel Mata’utia (ankle), Toka Likiliki (hamstring) and Joseph Tapine (hernia) are unavailable due to injury.


The trial game is a great chance for regional supporters to see the NRL stars in action and Knights fans and Members to show their support to the side as it gears up for the season ahead.
