Following the release of the 2014 NRL Draw, we take a look at some of the key match-ups for the season ahead.

* Knights vs Storm at Hunter Stadium in round 22

After last seasons incredible finals effort to topple the Storm in Melbourne, this one should be an absolute cracker. The two sides will first meet in Round 3 at AAMI Park, the scene of last year's amazing win, but the return bout in Newcastle is the one you want to see.

Craig Bellamys men will be looking for revenge, but the Knights will be waiting and ready to put on a show in front of their home crowd.

* Knights vs Broncos in round 7 on Good Friday

If youre in town on Good Friday, then you should do yourself a favour and get to this match-up against the Broncos.

The Knights have long had a great rivalry with Brisbane and this game will be no different.

Newcastle effectively ended the Broncos' 2013 season with a 26-18 win at Suncorp last year and the men from Queensland will be pumped for the re-match at Hunter Stadium.

* Knights vs Roosters in round 20

Who could ever forget the Knights' 40-14 loss in the Preliminary Final against the Roosters. The players certainly haven't.

This is a match against the defending premiers and one of those games the Knights can't wait to play .

* Knights vs Dragons in round 26

Newcastle has traditionally struggled against the Dragons, in fact the Club has won just 32.1 per cent of their matches against the joint-venture side.

That's the lowest winning percentage against any team in the NRL era since 1998.

Yet Old Boys Day is a different proposition and the Knights will go in confident of finally breaking their Red V hoodoo in front of their legions of fans and Club legends.

Here are some other special occasions to mention:

* Rabbitohs vs Knights at Barlow Park, Cairns in round 21

* The Club will host the Warriors in Close the Gap Round in round 23, while we'll also don our new Women in League pink jersey for the annual Women in League Round.

All in all, Knights fans should be excited for a big 2014 season.
