Laraine Butler is set to experience something any Knights fan would envy.

For showing her support to the Knights and signing up as a Member in 2014, she has won the highly prized Win a Game with Wayne competition and is set to enjoy the ultimate game day experience.

Laraine was overcome with tears of excitement on hearing the news she would join Wayne Bennett in the coachs box and be offered a different perspective of the game.

Laraines passion for the Knights has spanned decades.

She can still recall attending the Clubs first game against the Parramatta Eels in 1988.

I was dragged along kicking a screaming by my then 13 year-old son and his mate, she admits.

But three games in and I was hooked. Ive been a dedicated supporter and seen red and blue in my eyes ever since."

Laraine, who lives in Raymond Terrace, has been a Member of the Club from the beginning and loves the excitement and atmosphere at home games.

I love the noise and the fact when you watch, youre completely involved," she added.

"You just have to be there.

She also has a deep admiration for Bennett as a coach and feels the side has prospered since his arrival.

He knows everything there is about football, she said.

He has such a good rapport with the players. It doesnt matter who he coaches, he brings out the best in them.

Hes also seems like a very nice man, I cant wait to meet him."

Bennett congratulated Laraine on winning the Members prize and thanked her for her dedicated support of the Club.

Laraine has been a Member for quite a number of years and I look forward to sharing the excitement of one of our 20014 home games with her, he said.

The Knights Membership tally reached 12,000 Members on Thursday.

Wayne Bennett thanked the 12,000 Members for showing their support to the team and said that every Member plays a part in making the team feel stronger, both on and off the field.

For years, Laraine and her 85-year-old friend, Jean have attended games together and shared their adoration of the Knights.

Jean is now unable to attend regular games because of ill health, but Laraine hopes she will join her for the once-in-a-lifetime experience.
