50-50 Charity raffle
The 50-50 Charity Raffle is a not-for-profit fundraising product operated by the 50-50 Foundation. It is the Foundation's aim to raise significant funds for charities and good causes by partnering with sporting clubs and teams, event owners and charity partners to host fundraising raffles.
50 percent of the prize pool raised at each fundraising raffle goes to one lucky ticket holder who is drawn at random during the event. The remaining 50 percent goes directly towards charitable purposes.
This week: The 50-50 Charity Partner for Round 4 is Soul Café.
Soul Cafe was established in August 2003 to serve hot meals free of charge to the highly disadvantaged of the Newcastle region. Today Soul Cafe provides hundreds of free sit down and take away meals each week. Many of Soul Cafe’s guests are dealing with issues of homelessness, drug or alcohol addiction, crime or violence, poverty, separation, mental health or illness concerns and accommodation needs.
Getting to the game
Free shuttle bus
Catch the stadium shuttle service to get to nib Newcastle Knights games at McDonald Jones Stadium in 2020.
A free bus services for Knights fans will run every 15 minutes from two hours prior to kick-off from selected bus stops along the route.
Return services will run for around an hour after full-time.
Stadium shuttle 1 - Newcastle CBD with stops at Queens Wharf, King Street at Bolton Street, Civic Park, NEX, Marketown and Donald Street at Beaumont Street.
Stadium shuttle 2 - Charlestown/Belmont with stops at Charlestown Square and Westfield Kotara. Two services will start from Belmont on the Pacific Highway at Macquarie Street, also stopping on Pacific Highway at Groves Road.
Stadium shuttle 3 - Glendale with stops at Stockland Glendale, Cardiff Station and Lookout Road at McCaffrey Drive.
Stadium shuttle 4 - Wallsend with stops at Wallsend Village, Newcastle Road at Blue Gum Road and Newcastle Road at Dent Street.
Stadium shuttle 5 - Mayfield with stops at Wests Mayfield, Mayfield shops, Waratah Station and Waratah Village.

The nearest train station to the Stadium is Broadmeadow Station, approximately 1.5km away.
Regular trains are available from Sydney and stop at stations including Central, Strathfield, Hornsby, Gosford, Wyong, Morisset and Cardiff en- route to Broadmeadow. For a full list of stations and timetables visit NSW Transport.
Parking on game days is available only for vehicles with a pre-paid parking ticket. Pre-paid parking tickets cost $10 plus transaction fee from Ticketmaster on 136 100, online or by visiting Ticketmaster box office at McDonald Jones Stadium Stadium.
Disabled parking areas have been designated in close proximity to each of the McDonald Jones Stadium accessible entries. To purchase mobility parking please phone Ticketmaster on 136 100 or visit the Ticketmaster box office at the Stadium.
Meeting and function parking
If you are attending a meeting or a function at McDonald Jones Stadium, clients can access our outdoor parking free of charge.
If you wish to drop off a patron in the stadium's car park we do have a 10-minute loading zone. This can be accessed by entering either driveway off Turton Road.
McDonald Jones Stadium taxi stand is located at Young Road, Broadmeadow. Taxis can be accessed after the event by following the signs to Young Road. For further information please contact Newcastle Taxis on 13 33 00.
