The nib Newcastle Knights are seeking host families for young male and female athletes relocating to Newcastle as part of our 2027 Pathways Program.
For many of these players, it will be their first experience living away from home as they pursue their rugby league ambitions while continuing their education.
We are looking for families, couples or individuals who can provide a safe, supportive and welcoming environment to help our young athletes settle into a new community and thrive both on and off the field.
Host families play a vital role in the development of our Pathways players, providing stability, guidance and a sense of belonging during an important stage of their lives.
Financial assistance is available to help offset accommodation and meal costs.
We are particularly interested in hearing from potential host families located near the Newcastle Knights Centre of Excellence at Broadmeadow and/or Hunter Sports High School.
The Club welcomes and encourages expressions of interest from people of all backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who can provide a safe, supportive and inclusive home environment for our young athletes.

All prospective host families will undergo a thorough screening process, which may include Working with Children Checks, reference checks, interviews, identity verification and home assessments. By submitting an expression of interest, applicants consent to these checks being undertaken as part of the assessment process.
