Knights seeking host families for 2026 pathways players

The nib Newcastle Knights are seeking host families for junior representative players from our male and female pathway programs for the 2026 season.

We have recently signed a number of young players from outside of the Newcastle region and are currently in the process of supporting their relocation to Newcastle within the next month.

We are seeking expressions of interest from any families, couples and/or individuals who are considering becoming a homestay parent.

For these young male and female players, it will be the first time they have left their family environment as they find their feet in a new area.

Ideally, we're seeking a supportive homestay environment where they are made to feel a part of the family, including mealtimes.

In return, players would be responsible for assisting with maintaining their living space and assisting the homestay family with life skill development activities such as cooking, cleaning and general maintenance.

Financial compensation to assist with rent and food is also available. A current WWC check or willingness to obtain will be required.

Please note that due to the age of the players, they may not have their driving license. Therefore, we are seeking potential homestays in close proximity to our training base in Broadmeadow and/or close proximity to Hunter Sports High School, where these players will be attending school.

If you have ever considered being a homestay parent or have any further questions, please fill in the form below:
