nib Newcastle Knights NRLW forward Yasmin Clydsdale has been named NRLW Captain ahead of season kick-off on July 4.
The proud Novocastrian was announced as the new leader of the women's side at the squad's season launch on Tuesday at McDonald Jones Stadium.
Clydsdale has played 28 games at the Knights, having previously played a pivotal role in the Club's Grand Final winning squads in 2022 and 2023, while is the reigning NRLW Second Rower of the Year.

Clydsdale responds to Captaincy announcement
"Everyone knows how much this team means to me," Clydsdale said.
"I feel extremely privileged and honoured to lead this side.
"This is my hometown, the community I grew up in, to represent and captain them is unbelievable.
"We're a well connected team and we can't wait for the season to kick-off.
The side will kick off the highly-anticipated new season down in Sydney against competition newcomers, the Bulldogs, on July 4 before returning home on a special Voice for Mining Family Day on July 20 against the Warriors.
