Elliott inspired by Indigenous program

The nib Newcastle Knights have proudly confirmed the Clontarf Academy as their January Charity of the Month, spotlighting the incredible work the organisation does to empower young Indigenous men.

Through education, mentoring, and fostering life skills, Clontarf Academy helps these young men build brighter futures.

Off the back of a $10,000 injection of funds from the Wests Group and Knights, the program has continued to go from strength to strength.

During a visit to the program's operations at Toronto High School, Knights forward Adam Elliott shared his admiration for the program.

"It's inspiring to see the dedication and hard work these young men put into their development," Elliott said.

"The work the Foundation does is incredible and provides stability for Indigenous youth.

"The support from the Knights and Wests Group is clearly making a difference."

Brendon Heape, the Director of the Toronto Clontarf Academy, also reflected on the importance of the partnership.

"Having the Newcastle Knights involved is a huge boost for our boys," he said.

"It’s not just about the financial support, it’s about showing them that the community values and believes in them.

"That’s incredibly powerful."

The Knights’ involvement is part of their broader commitment to making a positive impact in their community, with initiatives like the ClubGRANTS program enabling meaningful contributions to organisations like Clontarf.
