Pathways Report: Jersey Flegg side score victory over South Sydney

In this week's pathways report, we take a look at the nib Newcastle Knights pathways teams in the Knock-On-Effect NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup competitions.

The two sides hosted the South Sydney Rabbitohs pathways outfits at Lyall Peacock Oval on Saturday.

NSW Cup - Knights 16-26 Rabbitohs

The NSW Cup side have gone down by 10 points to the Rabbitohs at Lyall Peacock Oval on Saturday.

South Sydney opened the scoring through Tyrone Munro five minutes into the contest before Dylan Lucas continued his try-scoring form running in for the Knights first.

David Armstrong showcased his speed for the red and blue's second shortly after.

NSW Cup Highlights: Round 25

Newcastle extended their lead when Laitia Moceidreke crossed the stripe as the Knights took a 16-4 lead into the break.

However, South Sydney would produce a comeback in the second half scoring four tries to the Knights nil.

The Knights NSW Cup squad will finish off their campaign when they take on the Newtown Jets this Sunday at McDonald Jones Stadium.

Jersey Flegg Cup - Knights 52-10 Rabbitohs

The Knights Jersey Flegg Cup squad have scored a huge win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Lyall Peacock Field on Saturday.

The side ran in a total of nine tries en route to a strong victory.

Jahoiyakim Afoa, Oryn Keeley and Fletcher Sharpe scored doubles while Brock Greacen, Travis May and Jye Linnane all got on the scoresheet.

Afoa kicked eight from nine with the boot as the team crossed the 50-point mark.

The result is the side's seventh win of the season with one round remaining in the regular season.
