Knights v Broncos Round 1 NRLW team list

nib Newcastle Knights NRLW Head Coach Ronald Griffiths has named a 22-woman squad for our Round 1 clash with the Brisbane Broncos this Sunday at McDonald Jones Stadium.

The nib Newcastle Knights make their return to the National Rugby League Telstra Women’s Premiership on Sunday evening, taking on the Brisbane Broncos at McDonald Jones Stadium at 6.10pm.

Internationals Hannah Southwell and Millie Boyle will lead the side into the new season after being confirmed as co-captains in Head Coach Ronald Griffiths’ round one side.

Commonwealth Games rugby sevens gold medallist Jesse Southwell will make her Knights and NRLW debut after being named at halfback, where she will line up alongside the experience of Kirra Dibb at five eighth.

In all, 10 members of the starting 17 are in line to make their Knights NRLW debut.

The match will be a core feature of Voice for Mining Family Day, in celebration of the Knights partnership with NRL and NRLW sponsor NSW Mining.
