Judiciary: Barnett suspended

nib Newcastle Knights forward, Mitch Barnett, has been suspended for six matches for dangerous contact on Penrith's Chris Smith last round.

Barnett was referred straight to the judiciary and pleaded guilty to the charge.

Following a judiciary hearing on Tuesday night, the panel of former players Bob Lindner and Tony Puletua found Barnett guilty and the six-week ban was handed down.
