UPDATE: Klemmer has accepted the early guilty plea and will be penalised to the tune of $1600.
EARLIER: nib Newcastle Knights prop David Klemmer has been cited by the NRL's Match Review Committee following our 24-6 loss to the Panthers.
Klemmer was placed on report for a high shot on Panthers winger Brian To'o in the 73rd minute. He has since received a grade one careless high tackle charge for the incident.
The 27-year-old will avoid suspension and instead cop a monetary penalty of $1600 if he takes an early guilty plea, with the fine increasing to $2100 should he fight the charge and lose.
