The Knights were handed their first defeat of the season in their Round 3 loss to the Tigers.
Newcastle hit the lead in the latter stages of the second half but a late David Nofoaluma try secured victory for the away team.

Mitchell Pearce ran out for his 300th game in front of 20,239 fans at McDonald Jones Stadium.
Pearce put in a solid performance in a losing side, crossing for a try and ran for 113 metres.

Along with his co-captain, Daniel Saifiti again had another solid game with some powerful runs in the middle of the park.
Saifiti ran for 167 meters which included 70 post contact metres.
