Judiciary Report: Crossland and Frizell charged

The NRL Match Committee have cited nib Newcastle Knights players Phoenix Crossland and Tyson Frizell following the Round 2 victory over the Warriors.

Crossland will pick up a two-match ban for a crusher tackle on David Fusitu'a. If he unsuccessfully elects to contest the charge, the suspension will be extended by an additional week.

Tyson Frizell was charged with a grade one dangerous contact (head/neck) for a tackle on Eliesa Katoa in the 35th minute.

Frizell avoided any match suspension and will instead cop an $1150 fine should he take the early plea.
