OPENING HIT OUT

It's the day some fans have been waiting for nearly 12 months; The day Tyson Frizell finally pulls on the red and blue jersey.

Frizell will start in the back-row, with the forward pack selected at near-full strength for the hit out with the Premiers.

It won't be an easy start for the Test forward, coming up against an all-conjuring Melbourne engine-room boasting the likes of Nelson Asofa-Solomona and the Bromwich's.

All the less, all eyes will no doubt be on Frizell in his first game as a Newcastle Knight, while Summer signing Sauaso Sue will also make his Knights debut.

DOM EARNS HIS CHANCE

Towering Englishman Dominic Young was the name on everybody's lips following a sensational first hit out last week, and the young centre could be given the chance to further establish himself against one of the best teams in the world.

Young has been named in jersey No.23 following his performance last week, which yielded a try and impressive try assist against Cessnock.

There's no doubting the Storm will be at an entirely different level, and it will be interesting to see how much game time the 19-year-old receives.

Brayden Musgrove, Mat Croker, Brodie Jones and Passami Saulo also earned call-ups after strong outings last week.

Readying for Round One

With plenty of high-profile names still in the recovery unit, there will be a number of players looking to push their case for Round One selection.

Gehamat Shibasaki gets his chance on the wing, while Phoenix Crossland will get a golden opportunity to throw his hand up for a spot in the halves.

Fans should also be excited to see what young gun Simi Sasagi can do, with the young Kiwi given a chance off the extended bench.
