Brad Fittler and Wayne Bennett have both confirmed their initial 21-man squads for Wednesday night's opening State of Origin clash.
nib Newcastle Knights prop Daniel Saifiti has been named to start in the front row for the Blues.
As for the Maroons, Edrick Lee and Hymel Hunt will have to wait at least another week for their Origin debuts, however Bennett will take eight debutants to the Adelaide Oval.
Hunt remains a chance of playing after being named in jersey No.21 on Queensland's extended bench.
Meanwhile, Clint Gutherson has won the race for the vacant NSW centre position, left open with the withdrawal of Tom Trbojevic due to injury.
James Tedesco has been named to start at fullback for the Blues and will face a fitness test over the weekend, while fullback contender Ryan Papenhuyzen has been ruled out with a calf complaint.
