To'a and Sasagi COVID hold lifted

The COVID-hold biosecurity precautions placed on nib Newcastle Knights players Starford To’a and Simi Sasagi have been lifted effective immediately.

The Club reported a potential breach by the players on Sunday. The potential breach involved the players attendance at a local rugby league game on Sunday afternoon.

Following a review by the NRL's Apollo biosecurity experts, it was determined that the level of COVID risk exposure for both players was negligible.

This led to a recommendation that the COVID-hold on To’a and Sasagi be lifted.

The determination by the Apollo experts is separate to any ongoing review by the NRL’s Integrity Unit regarding potential breaches.
