Numbers: Forwards carry Knights to victory

These are the numbers that matter.

While stats can't tell you everything, they do paint a very telling picture.

Here's what they told us following the Round 8 loss to Manly.

Match Highlights: Knights sink Manly in brutal battle

50

Tackles made by Andrew McCullough.

In a game where defence was always going to be the cornerstone of victory, McCullough was absolutely immense.

With troops dropping left and right and over 2000 Manly fans baying for blood, McCullough stood firm, making 50 tackles and scoring his maiden Knights try.

207

Run metres for Daniel Saifiti.

After a below-average performance in Townsville, Saifiti put in a performance which was more reminiscent of his form post COVID-19.

The Origin rep ran for over 200 metres, with 93 of them coming post-contact. He also managed 44 tackles and two tackle breaks.

0

Missed tackles to David Klemmer.

Not to be outdone by his front-row partner and NSW team-mate, Klemmer put in a huge shift in the middle of the park.

He ran for 197 metres, made 33 tackles, contributed four offloads and managed 100 post-contact metres.

An incredible display by our two middle forwards.
