Brown delivers Klemmer verdict

The good news is in!

David Klemmer looks to be an inclusion for this Saturday’s clash against the Broncos.

Newcastle Knights coach Nathan Brown confirmed all his Origin players should be right to gear up this weekend, including the Knights prop.

Origin injury update: Ponga and Glasby

Brown is confident the front row enforcer will be back from a wrist injury gained in Origin’s game one at Brisbane.

Klemmer fractured his wrist and was scheduled for a return in rounds 16-18, but is set for an early comeback.

“Trained yesterday and pulled up ok and trained again today and appear like they’re right to go, so unless something changes, we’d expect them to play,” said Brown.

“All the guys have come through ok.

King: 'His journey is inspirational to me'

“We’ll see how they all pull up tomorrow but we’re expecting them all to play.”

It will be a major boost to the Knights forward pack.

The 25-year-old considered a driving force in the middle, and never fails to carve up the run metres.

Brown knows he’ll need all his Origin players to fire.

“We need them to play and we need them to play well,” Brown commented.

“They’re playing Origin for a reason and we need them to play well for the Knights.”
