UPDATED: Newcastle Knights backrower Mitch Barnett has been suspended for three games following a tackle on Melbourne fullback Jarome Hughes.
The 25-year-old has been charged with a grade three dangerous contact offence.
He will miss three weeks after taking the early guilty plea.
Barnett would've missed five games if he contested the charge and lost.
