Daniel Saifiti has plenty of respect for the Burgess boys.
He sees them as some of the best forwards in the world.
So, to hear Sam has decided to play the Newcastle Knights before having surgery on his shoulder, he sees it as a sign of respect.

“Other teams rest their players against us, these guys are putting their best players against us so I definitely take it as a sign of respect,” Saifiti said.
“It shows how far we have come over the last few years.”

While the oldest Burgess has been carrying the injury since early in the season, Saifiti has no doubt he’ll still be a force in the middle on Friday.
“He’s probably the best forward in the world so he’ll turn up and give 100 per cent,” Saifiti commented.
“He’ll always turn up.
“The Burgess brothers are definitely a good test for us.”

Toppling the ladder leaders will undoubtedly be a challenge for the Knights on Friday night.
For Saifiti, he has never tasted victory against the Rabbitohs.
Newcastle last won against the bunnies in 2011…. Saifiti was only 15 then.
