The nib Newcastle Knights Junior Presentation Night has celebrated the 2019 junior representative season.
Knights head coach Nathan Brown, players Pasami Saulo, Lachlan Fitzgibbon and Sione Mata’utia, Director of Football Brian Canavan and former player Marc Glanville were among those in attendance.

It was a red-hot season from the Harold Mathews who claimed the minor premiership before winning the grand final.
The Knights beat the Bulldogs 28-8 to take hold of the 2019 premiership.
From that team, the Knights have eight representative players.
Seven of the under 16s squad featured in the Harold Mathews City representative team (Fletcher Myers, Jonah Pezet, Noah Reed, Noah Nailagolina, Oryn Keeley, Max Bradbury, Lachlan Crouch) and another in the Pacifica Representative side (Christopher Vea’ila).

THE YEAR THAT WAS
It was another impressive season from the Tarsha Gale side.
For the second straight season they made the grand final but sadly, history repeated with our Knights going down 24-12 to the Steelers.
Still, there was plenty to celebrate from the season with two player, Caitlan Johnston and Olivia Kernick, rewarded with representative selection in the under 18s NSW women’s Origin side.

It was a trying year for SG Ball side who placed 13th.
It was a year of learning for the under 18s with 8 players enjoying a pre-season with the under 20s team and two players in Bradman Best and Mitch Black picked in the NSW under 18s Origin side.
