nib Inspiring Moment: March

In Newcastle’s history, the Knights have only defeated the Dragons 11 times in 37 attempts.

Last season there was no success against the big red V.

In fact, it was this time last year the Club lost Tautau Moga to a season-ending knee injury.

Moga had crossed over for what was his second try for the 2018 season but had to be helped off the field.

It was later discovered Moga had torn his anterior cruciate ligament for the fourth time in six years.

Nathan Ross: A reflection

To compound the woes, the Knights fell short 30-12.

Fast-forward to the final game of 2018 and the Knights were at home for Old Boys Day.

But the Dragons spoiled the occasion.

The game was also the last time 338 game veteran Chris Heighington took the field.

While the Knights led 10-2 at halftime, two long range tries to the Dragons put the game the bed in the second half with the fulltime score reading 24-14.
