Griffin sets Test goal in ACL return

There's been no shortage of interest in our boys this week.

The nib Newcastle Knights attract plenty of media attention and we've pulled together the best of it in case you missed any of the news.

Here's what our boys got up to this week:

November 7 - GRIFFIN EYES RETURN IN 2019

Slade Griffin is hoping to return to the field in 2019 after making some serious progress recovering from an ACL injury.

Be the Player... the story so far.

Griffin suffered an ACL injury last season, the fourth of his career but the 27-year-old is now out of his knee brace and back out on the training paddock.

"I'm finally actually doing rehab, so I feel a bit better," Griffin told NBN News.

"It's a long process so who knows but I really want to play again (this) year.

Griffin made his representative debut for New Zealand last year and when healthy, has highlighted a return to International football as a realistic goal.

"There is so much motivation, my last game before that was for the Kiwi's so I want to kind of get back in that frame as well," he said.

Griffin is staying positive and is confident he'll be back on the field in 2019.

"I think it's just the way I've been brought up, trying to be grateful for everything.

"If you're down and out there's no good in kicking stones, that's not going to get you anywhere.

"I'm trying to be confident and really enjoy the ride."
