Buderus backs Ponga's move to No.6

Kalyn & Connor Behind the Scenes at McHappy Day

There's been plenty of talk to start the pre-season around what position Kalyn Ponga will play in 2019.

Will he play fullback or five-eighth?

After a sizzling display last year against Penrith in the no.6, there is some serious talk that Ponga will make the permanent switch to the pivot position.

Lucky for the Knights, Connor Watson, who played five-eighth most of last season, has played fullback before in his career.

Be The Player: Week 2

According to former captain Danny Buderus, the idea of Ponga wearing the No.6 jersey is a good one.

"Yeah I like him at number six, he can play at number one or he can play all over the park," Buderus told NRL.com.

"There's nothing better when you see him nice and flat on the advantage line, skipping outside of players or putting players through holes.

"There's some pre-season training where he's playing at number six, so it's only going to improve the team."
