These are the numbers that matter.

While the nib Newcastle Knights suffered a 20-4 loss at the hands of the Warriors on Friday, there were still several positives to take away from some individuals.

While stats can't tell you everything, they do paint a very telling picture.

The most running metres of any Knights and that number belongs to Herman Ese'ese.

The prop had 17 runs with 62 post-contact metres.


It gets better. The forward made six tackle breaks and 39 tackles.

He didn't miss a tackle. He also stopped a try with a kick defusal where he pounced on a Blake Green grubber.
