In the Sheds: Ken Sio

A bruised and battered Ken Sio spoke to Knights TV after the tough loss to the Melbourne Storm on Friday night, saying the team has plenty to work on ahead of Round 7.

“They’re a good team when they’re here at home, so we knew it was going to be an uphill battle,” Sio said of the Storm.

“Browny has already spoken to us about what we need to do better, we’re going to need to work hard ahead of next week.”

Sio bagged his first two tries of the season, and remarkably was the first red and blue winger to cross the white line in 2018 after the majority of the Club’s tries occurring further in field.

The 27-year-old was quick to attribute his tries to Mitchell Pearce and Kalyn Ponga though.

“I think it’s back to the drawing board for next week, but my tries came through those key players that set them up.”

And while the Knights are technically back on the road in Round 7, Sio says he’s looking forward to playing a game in Tamworth, part of the Club’s catchment area.

“It’ll be good to get out there… I’ve never been to Tamworth so it’ll be awesome.”
