In the sheds: Jacob Lillyman

Knights TV spoke to Jacob Lillyman in the sheds following the Round 2 win against the Canberra Raiders on Sunday night.

The experienced forward said it was great to get their first win on the road.

“It was a great win to come to Canberra because they were disappointed after a loss last week,” he said.

“They were ready to go, and we were far from perfect but we just managed to find a way to win and that's very satisfying.”

The forward maintained they made most of their opportunities.

“We did give them a lot of opportunities and a lot of leg ups, but once we got down into their attacking zones, we were really confident in scoring points,” Lillyman explained.

“We’ve certainly got a great attacking footy side and there’s probably some areas in defence we need to tighten up on.”

Lillyman admits two from two is a great start but they’ve got a tough road ahead.

“It's a great start to the year but we’re under no illusions of the task that is in front of us in the Roosters,” he added.

“They’re a very good football team and they’ll be another massive challenge for us but within the group we’re confident.

“We’ve worked hard this week and we’ll prepare as best we can and go down there and give it a red hot crack.”
